Where does memory stand between loyalty, reality and time? How can language be twisted and transformed through repetition? Can such a dynamic between sensorial inputs such as image, sound and process be created where it’s no longer clear what accompanies, leads or interferes with what?
My interdisciplinary artistic practice which is rooted in these questions invites process and time to a game/play: I search to extract process from the work itself and make sense of its traces through video, drawing, performance and printed matter. I take audiovisual, tactile and spatial experiments as my empirical material. The work is invested in the notion of repetition, gesture, memory and language, and the research, which is often manifested in diagrammatic form, focuses on the instances in which these elements intersect and manipulate one another. Emotion bursts through the methodology.
Language and its components which allow for the expansion and contraction of this investigation permeate the work through form, content or theory. There is always spatial, symbolic, and metaphorical space for tracing resonances across trans-sensory and transmedia approaches.
